Google, as Netvibes provide awesome tools to make you own portal. This last one is the first one created I think, but looks heavier than IGoogle one.
To use IGoogle, simply subscribe to google, using a friend’s invitation by gmail for example.
Then, u will be allowed to create you own google space, add widgets which could be useful for you, as news, wheather, shopping informations, some are customable and very useful when you do not want to go to website to check it (for example, for financial shares)
I have adopted it, and love it…
